Polish-Dutch cooperation

On 15-17 April 2019 took a place meeting, co-organized by Institute of Genetics and Animal Breeding of the PAS and Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands in Poland, in the frame of strategic agreement of cooperation of Polish and Dutch scientific institutions. The consortium includes Wageningen University & Research (WUR) from Netherlands (the best in the world university in environmental-agriculture science), Institute of Genetics and Animal Breeding PAS, National Veterinary Research Institute in Pulawy and Poznań University of Life Sciences.

The seminar was devoted to the results of consortium cooperation, it has been also discussed about applying for common projects in Horizon 2020.

During meeting it has been organized session devoted cooperation between scientific units and government institutions. During this session members of Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, The National Centre for Research and Development, National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the European Union took a part.

Preliminary information concerning new scientific program of European Union Horizon Europe has been presented.

Director of the Institute, Professor Jaroslaw Horbańczuk has honored dr Martin Scholten (Director General of Wageningen UR Animal Sciences Group) with gold Institute medal as a result of 10 years cooperation between WUR and IGAB PAS. Moreover Martijn Homan and Katarzyna Kowalczewska from Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands have received diplomas from Director of the Institute for support in cooperation between Poland and the Netherlands.
