Visit of the Ambassador of Japan

On April 4, 2019, the Institute was visited by Mr. Tsukasa Kawada – Ambassador of Japan in Poland. He was accompanied by the representatives of the Economy Section of the Japanese Embassy in Warsaw – Satoshi Takeuchi and Elżbieta Korona.

The guests met with the Institute’s Directors and familiarized themselves with the scientific activity and potential of the Institute, especially concerning scientific collaboration with Japanese institutions in the areas of genetics and biotechnology. The discussions covered also the potential of Poland in animal production including biodiversity. The delegation visited also the Team for Genome Editing and Transcriptional Regulation led by Dr Hiroaki Taniguchi, as well as leading core-facility laboratories.
