On May 30, 2023, Professor, MD, PhD  Ryszard Słomski, the Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was honoured with silver medal " Sapientia et Veritas". The medal awarded for special merits to higher education and science, including outstanding achievements in the field of scientific, didactic or organizational activities, was presented to the Professor by the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek.
